Looking for a great holiday destination...

You have found just the place!
Mossel Bay is a picturesque, little town with everything you will need for a fascinating, thrilling, or peaceful vacation.

Today in Mossel Bay

Boy was I lucky, to witness the most awesome sight at about 15h35.   Down at the Point were millions of seagulls and cormorants sitting on the water in a straight line.  As the last birds landed gently on the water, the first birds took flight to the next spot.   They kept doing this over and over, moving further around the Point and out to sea.  It looked like a sardine or elf run, but the elf run usually takes place in January/February.  I found out that it was just that there was a lot of bait fish around close to shore and the birds were hiding from the strong winds further out at sea.

Four dolphins came swimming by, leaping over the waves, and then back under again.  It was strange that they didn't follow the birds, but swam in the opposite direction.

In the distance, I saw a whale spouting between the choppy sea that looked like white horses frolicking, only to disappear again for a few seconds.

Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me to take a photo of that, but here are some others.
